Frequently Asked Questions

Where do you meet with students?

I meet with students in their homes or at a local library within maximum travel time of 30 minutes. Some towns include Delran, Cinnaminson, Riverton, Riverside, Moorestown, Mt. Laurel, Maple Shade, Marlton, Medford, Lumberton, Hainesport, Cherry Hill, Collingswood, Haddonfield, Voorhees, and Pennsauken.

Do I need to be present during sessions?

I require that a parent or guardian be present in the home or library during our sessions if the student is under 18. It is best if parents do not sit in on the session, however, as student behavior and progress can be affected.

How far will you travel?

I will travel up to 10 minutes (one way) for free. Beyond that, travel time is prorated accordingly. Maximum travel time is 30 minutes (one way). Any other travel expenses (tolls, parking, etc.) are the client's responsibility.

Do you offer discounts for siblings?

Yes, siblings are 10% off.

Do you assign homework?

Sometimes, yes. It depends on the child and his/her needs.

How often do you typically meet with students?

Every child has different needs, but most students require at least 2 sessions per week for consistency.

Do you communicate with your students' teachers, Child Study Team, etc?

Yes, I prefer to keep in touch with your child's teacher and other educational professionals. I try to plan my sessions according to the current curriculum as well as your child's specific needs. It helps a great deal to be in contact with the teacher.

Do you charge if a session is canceled?

Typically, no. I prefer at least 24 hours notice for a cancellation, but I understand that things happen. The only time I charge for a session that doesn't take place is if I've already left the house to travel.
